A word about us

The Institute of Foreign Languages (IFL), Jabalpur (M.P), India is an institute which does not have any competitor at the state level. It came into existence in 2001 and its aim was to bring about a qualitative change in the standard of English teaching method in India. To achieve this aim, the institute devised various programs in the areas of research, development and training .The efforts paid off remarkably well and soon German, French were included as Foreign Language courses in the institute and more Foreign Languages like Spanish and Japanese were included as part of the curriculum. The institute strives to attain academic excellence not only through the teaching of the rudiments of the languages but also focusing on the culture, literature and tradition of the country of their origin

The Institute of Foreign Languages also gives special training for IELTS, TOEFL and other competitive exams.

IFL is an independent institute which is run by a society registered under the M.P. Societies Registration Act, 1973.The campus of the institute is in close proximity to the Bank of India, South Civil Lines, Jabalpur.

The Institution was founded on September 29, 2001 with the blessings of the Almighty, and co-operation and support of several distinguished, learned scholars.

We believe that there are elements in all cultures which transcend all barriers and knit people together. “The world is one family.”& “Let noble thoughts come to us from every side.” Since 2001 the institute blossomed into an ever-growing, voluntary, apolitical national movement with an international outlook, devoted to life, literature and culture.

The world in which we all live is a world of differences, differences within cultures as well as differences between cultures. Intercultural dialogue acknowledges that differences exist and seek to develop mutual trust and understanding between people with diverse opinions, viewpoints and values.

The idea of the Institution is mutuality and a commitment to listen with respect and to communicate with directness. Intercultural dialogue is about fostering understanding between people even though they may see the world in different ways.
